New 33++ Why Does My Gas Fireplace Keep Going Out. I have a gas fire place (faux place) that runs really well for about 10 minutes after i turn it on, but then it goes out (licking flames stop and just the pilot remains on). Contact your gas company for referral to a qualified service how do i go about doing my own fireplace service? The fireplace should (@ the beginning of the season) be thoroughly vacuumed, top to bottom.

Inspirational 49+ Gas Fireplace Going Out. I tried to start it back up yesterday, and i did clean everything out and then tried to > get the fireplace going again to no avail. Always worked fine for the 8 years we've been here. But now i have a new problem. The fireplace should (@ the beginning of the season) be thoroughly vacuumed, top to bottom, inside and out, including the pilot assembly and burner slots.
