Up To Date 34+ Fireplace Gas Pipe Replacement. This replacement on/off gas valve was available online for around $40 dollars so we purchased the valve and installed it ourselves. We ran some tests and determined that the valve was stuck in the closed position. The gas pipe goes down to the basement where it connects to flexible piping before connecting back to the black gas line (the tap is closed).
